About the project
VIASTEIN Kft., in cooperation with BAYER CONSTRUCT Zrt., has been implementing its development plans in the Biharkeresztes Industrial Park. As a result of the first phase of the investment, a paving stone factory with a level of technological advancement unique in Europe was completed and handed over in August 2017. The second phase focused on the establishment of a surface treatment plant for paving stones, which was completed in 2018. Currently, the third development phase is underway, aiming to build a plant for manufacturing concrete building elements. In addition, a fourth phase is in the planning stage, targeting the construction of an aerated concrete production facility.
As the initial stage of the development, a paving stone plant—unparalleled in Hungary and even across Europe—was completed in the second half of 2017. The 2,000 m² hall houses the production of paving stones, curbstones, blocks, and large-format slabs, either in two-layer or homogeneous structure. The second phase led to the creation of a new facility for refining and surface treating paving stones and blocks. The final products are high-end pavers and blocks with a rustic, natural appearance and exclusive aesthetics. This phase was delivered in 2018, with production housed in a 1,000 m² factory building, and sales have been ongoing ever since.
