About the project
The construction of the Érd Ice Hall was carried out as our own investment, with the support of TAO funding. It is the second fully privately owned facility of its kind in Hungary and the first ice sports venue in the country to operate continuously, 12 months a year. The ice rink, built to international standards, measures 60×26 metres and includes eight changing rooms. Construction of the sandwich panel-structured hall began in the spring of 2018, with Bayer Construct as general contractor. The modern facility was completed by December of that year and officially opened in early 2019, featuring a 298-seat grandstand and a two-storey office building. Ice cooling is provided by a state-of-the-art system that utilises both renewable and geothermal energy sources. The hall is home to the Kárpáti Farkasok hockey team, and also hosts public skating, recreational activities, and various events.
